about me
Growing up in the middle of beautiful Upper Lusatia, in the very south-eastern corner of Germany, a border triangle, I was able - thanks to my family - to experience the encounter with nature and the sprawling mountain land of our "Kleines Mittelgebirge" from an early age.
After completing school education and starting to work for 3 years in a music shop, at the end of the year 2000 there was suddenly the opportunity for a completely different region and industry. Of course this should bring challenge and lifestyle ...
First of all for a winter season in the Pinzgau mountains, I decided to stay the next spring. To meet the unusually diverse opportunities and to follow them in various occupations, to gain invaluable experience, the years have meanwhile passed by. I am grateful for all the people whom I met here, they opened many doors to new traditions and customs for me. Since then, I have been delighted to use this pleasantly comfortable lifestyle and enjoy the quality of a peaceful Pinzgau mountain folk and the breathtaking natural surroundings.
The fascination of changeable nature and the unbridled longing and curiosity for what is different in the mountains, brought me here over the first few years to numerous trainings. An important role is played by the increasing participation in the Hohe Tauern National Park, where, as an external National Park Ranger with school classes and numerous visitors, I have been able to explore the valleys of the huge nature reserve year after year, always providing wonderful and exciting insights into these diverse mountain worlds experience. I am very grateful for that!
At the same time I decided to train for the Mountain-Guide Certificate of Salzburger and a year later found a private employment in the family and SportHotel Alpina in Hinterthal / Maria Alm, in the middle of the Hochkönig. Since 2004 I can offer a versatile weekly hiking program there.
Since then, of course, I am also exploring the mountains by myself as well. Very often in the National Park Hohe Tauern, which has very beautiful and still quiet nature in the East Tyrolean and Carinthian side too. This is my oasis, which gives me a lot of strength and joy since then.
